Adventure Child Therapy is a small, clinician-led ABA practice. We meet kids where life happens — living rooms across the Denver metro, Grand Junction, Pueblo, Ada, Charlotte and Thomasville, and the playroom floor of our Tulsa center — with one technician for one child, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who looks at your child’s progress every week.

Open rolesTherapy that happens where your child’s day happens
In Colorado, that’s usually your home — plus daycare, school and community outings when your child’s plan calls for it. In Tulsa, it’s our center, with a whole team on site, and nearby homes too. Around Ada, it’s your home, school and community, and around Charlotte and Thomasville, it’s your home and community. We pick the setting because it’s where the skill needs to work, not because it’s convenient for us.

Tell us about your child
One call or one form. We’ll ask for your child’s name and date of birth, a good callback number, your insurance carrier and member ID, whether there’s a diagnosis and who made it, how you heard about us, and the days and times that realistically work for sessions.
We won’t guess at a start date on that first call. As soon as we know, you’ll know.

Depends on your state
Gather what we need on file
In Colorado, your child doesn’t need an autism diagnosis to begin — a letter from your child’s physician recommending ABA is enough, and we’ll tell you exactly what it should say. In Oklahoma and North Carolina, a diagnostic evaluation needs to be on file before ABA can start. Don’t have the paperwork yet? We’ll share our referral list and hold on to your information, so you never have to start over.
No diagnosis yet isn’t a dead end anywhere — and in Colorado, you may not need one at all.

Days to weeks
Benefits and authorization
We check your coverage and request authorization for you. With Health First Colorado, SoonerCare or NC Medicaid, authorized services cost your family nothing. With a commercial plan, we’ll share exactly what we verified and on what date — we’ll never make up a number just to fill a silence.
Coordination of benefits is needed when care starts, once a year, and any time your insurance changes.

Assessment
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst spends time with your child and with you, completes a skills assessment, and writes the treatment plan and hours request. You’ll read the goals before anything is final.

Sessions begin!
We match your technician on availability, location and continuity — the same friendly face at the same times, whenever we can make it happen. Family guidance goes on the calendar from day one, not as an afterthought.
Two hours of family guidance each month is the minimum, and your insurer requires it.
We watch the little wins add up
Your technician records data during every session, and your Board Certified Behavior Analyst reviews it every week. When a program isn’t moving, we change it within weeks — not at the next six-month review. Ask to see the graphs anytime. We love that question.
Why you won’t find parent reviews here
Your child’s progress is private, and it belongs to your family — not our marketing. Instead, we’ll introduce you to the Board Certified Behavior Analyst who would supervise your child, walk you through how progress is tracked, and give you a straight answer about whether we can staff your ZIP code.

We’ve opened in Charlotte and Thomasville, and we keep choosing new places based on where families struggle to find care — not where it’s easiest for us. A job where you’re supported, too
In Colorado, our full-time in-home technicians are salaried, not hourly — so a family’s cancellation doesn’t shrink your paycheck, and billable hours above your base are paid on top. We group cases by ZIP code, reimburse mileage, and tell you on the very first call that drive time isn’t paid hourly, because you deserve to know that before an offer, not after. At our Tulsa center, technicians are hourly and work set shifts alongside the team on site.
